1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using CardioLogIQ, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
CardioLogIQ is an online platform providing cardiology board preparation materials including multiple-choice questions (MCQs), educational content, and progress tracking tools. Our service is designed for medical professionals preparing for cardiology board examinations.

3. User Eligibility
Our service is intended for medical professionals including residents, fellows, and practicing physicians. By using CardioLogIQ, you represent that you are:
- A licensed medical professional or student enrolled in medical training
- At least 18 years of age
- Accessing the service for legitimate educational purposes
4. Account Registration and Security
To access certain features, you must register for an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Providing accurate and current information during registration
5. Subscription and Payment
Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees for your subscription plan
- Automatic renewal only where this is explicitly stated at checkout
- Payment processing through our designated payment providers
Access passes grant access for the stated period. Statutory withdrawal rights for consumers remain unaffected and are set out in Section 13 below.
In accordance with Section 19(1) of the German Value Added Tax Act (Kleinunternehmerregelung), no value added tax is charged or shown. All prices stated are final prices.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use CardioLogIQ only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Prohibited activities include:
- Sharing account credentials with others
- Attempting to reverse engineer or copy our content
- Using automated tools to access or scrape content
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Using the service for commercial purposes without permission
7. Medical Disclaimer
CardioLogIQ is an educational tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The content is for educational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment.
While our questions and explanations reference current medical guidelines, these guidelines evolve over time. Always verify current recommendations with primary sources and consult with qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions. CardioLogIQ assumes no responsibility for how the information is interpreted or applied in clinical practice.
The practice of medicine requires clinical judgment that cannot be fully captured in educational materials. Use CardioLogIQ as a learning tool, not as a clinical decision-making resource.
8. Content Ownership and License
CardioLogIQ owns the platform, user interface, MCQ questions, explanations, and educational materials created specifically for this service. These are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
The medical guideline recommendations and clinical standards referenced in our content are derived from official medical society guidelines and consensus statements. These guidelines are not owned by CardioLogIQ and remain the property of their respective originating organizations.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the CardioLogIQ platform and our original content for your personal educational purposes only.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using CardioLogIQ, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to CardioLogIQ at our discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
Upon termination, your right to use CardioLogIQ will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
CardioLogIQ is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
12. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall CardioLogIQ be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of our service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
13. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)
If you are a consumer within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract.
Withdrawal policy
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Dr. med. Ansgar Scheffold, Zimmerplatzstr. 23, 87740 Buxheim, Germany, [email protected]) of your decision to withdraw by an unequivocal statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed of your decision. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal
Your right of withdrawal expires before the end of the withdrawal period if we have begun performance of the contract after you have expressly consented to us beginning performance before the end of the withdrawal period and have confirmed your acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. We obtain both declarations from you before you are taken to the payment page, and we record them with a timestamp. If you would rather keep the full withdrawal period, do not give these declarations and contact us instead — we will then activate your access once the period has expired.

Widerrufsbelehrung (deutsche Fassung)
Verbraucher haben ein vierzehntägiges Widerrufsrecht. Die Widerrufsfrist beträgt vierzehn Tage ab dem Tag des Vertragsschlusses. Um Ihr Widerrufsrecht auszuüben, müssen Sie uns (Dr. med. Ansgar Scheffold, Zimmerplatzstr. 23, 87740 Buxheim, [email protected]) mittels einer eindeutigen Erklärung über Ihren Entschluss, diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen, informieren. Zur Wahrung der Widerrufsfrist genügt die rechtzeitige Absendung der Mitteilung.
Im Falle eines wirksamen Widerrufs erstatten wir Ihnen alle erhaltenen Zahlungen unverzüglich, spätestens binnen vierzehn Tagen ab Zugang der Widerrufserklärung.
Ihr Widerrufsrecht erlischt vorzeitig, wenn wir mit der Ausführung des Vertrages begonnen haben, nachdem Sie ausdrücklich zugestimmt haben, dass wir vor Ablauf der Widerrufsfrist mit der Ausführung beginnen, und Sie Ihre Kenntnis davon bestätigt haben, dass Sie durch Ihre Zustimmung mit Beginn der Ausführung des Vertrages Ihr Widerrufsrecht verlieren (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB). Beide Erklärungen holen wir vor der Weiterleitung zur Zahlung ein und speichern sie mit Zeitstempel.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer with habitual residence in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of that country.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through our platform. Your continued use of CardioLogIQ after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
